WHAT IS THE GMAT?

GMAT is an acronym that stands for the Graduate Management Admission Test. It is a computer adaptive test universities use to assess analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English. This test delves into your knowledge of grammar, introductory algebra, and arithmetic. This test is timed and consists of four sections. Those sections:

Leading the bunch, we have Magoosh GMAT PREP. This app offers over 22 hours of free instruction. This app also includes over 300 lessons and video modules. Whatever your learning style Magoosh has considered that. Life can be challenging, and adding the extra task of test prep can be stressful. Magoosh leads the pack with video learning. Highly qualified tutors teach their videos. This company also offers personalized customer service. If you’re looking to save on cash, this app is one to look at as you prepare your workout plan. Next on the list is the Manhattan Prep GMAT App. This app is free with limited options. But the full version of the app can be downloaded for a fee. Just as its predecessor, this app looks at the test from a holistic point of view and allows students to take tests and quizzes with limited video support. You also have the option to answer over 1,000 questions and work on flashcards. We would highly recommend you look at your workout plan and think about what you need before making any purchases on this app. On IOS, this app received a 4.8 out of 5 rating. 

3. BLOOMBERG GMAT PREP ★★★

Bloomberg GMAT Prep

With Bloomberg’s title in it, we thought it would be worth trying to look at it. While rated low, this app has 5,000 practice questions adaptive technology to track and monitor your journey, and this app offers a personalized learning plan. This app also provides supplement lessons, practice tests, and a one on one tutor is available. These apps creators pride themselves on their adaptive learning technology. A few users had issues with the interface of this app, and they had a hard time seeing the questions. On IOS, this app received a 4.8 out of 5 rating. 

4. GMAT PRACTICE FOR DUMMIES ★★★★

GMAT Practice For Dummies

When we saw this app was getting a lot of buzz, we had to check it out. The GMAT Practice for Dummies App comes with many varied opinions. This app does not have many options for free, which seems to be a complaint from many users. This app allows you to practice on the go and measure your success. This app comes with an hourly time limit but still can be something that you can use as you prepare. On IOS, this app received a 4.4 out of 5 rating. 

5. GMAT TEST BANK PREP BY ALLEN PREP ★★★★

GMAT TestBank by Allen Prep

So we stumbled across this app by accident but thought we should give it a try. The GMAT TEST BANK by Allen Prep allows you free access to 1,302 GMAT questions, and every GMAT subject is covered. A complete rationale for every GMAT question on the app is available, authored by perfect scorers. Of course, this app comes with in-app purchases, but the free version affords you to track your progress while using the app. Many students use this app as a litmus test to see where they stand before they begin preparing. On IOS, this app received a 4.4 out of 5 rating.

I know you have taken in quite a bit of information, and we don’t want you to be overwhelmed. We want you to know what’s out there. Stand up, stretch a little bit, and take a deep breath. Here’s an app where it focuses on the math portion of the GMAT. Developed by YourTeach, this math-focused app helps you to understand the content with a plan of execution. Please be aware that this app is free for three days, and you can cancel at any time. An online teacher is working through problems with you. Many students who used this app felt it was beneficial and easy to follow. You can print and email answer keys and notes. On IOS, this app received a 4.7 out of 5 rating.

While the other apps listed help with content on the test, this app breaks down the test from an analytical perspective. The Questions that you wanted to ask are here on this app. The app includes an extensive picture overview and guidelines for each section. It also contains complex formulas for interest stimulation, counting, combos, permutations, geometry, etc. Also, they have English grammar rules and idiom lists that will aid in sentence correction. On IOS, this app received a 3.7 out of 5 rating.

The first thing about this app that caught my eye is studying GMAT vocabulary without opening the app. The notifications on this app pop up with daily words for you to match with its definition. This app also has an audio feature where you can hear the word’s pronunciation, and you can study while on the go. This seems to be the best GMAT Vocabulary App on the market. We would highly recommend this as you prepare for the GMAT. On IOS, this app received a 5 out of 5 rating.
