Business School

One of the four academic colleges is the AACSB-accredited College of Business & Public Affairs. Business students experience relevant course material, accomplished faculty, and adequate preparation for career success and community impact. The CoBPA prioritizes experiential learning, community engagement, global awareness, technology enhancement, and accreditation maintenance throughout its three departments.

Programs

Undergraduate students studying business receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Management, or Business Administration with concentrations in Management Information Systems and International Business. Business minors include Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Management.

Graduate students study for a Master’s in Business Administration. There is a general MBA track and options to specialize in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or Human Resources Management. Those desiring to move through two degrees quickly can pursue the MBA 4+1 program and receive both a bachelor’s and master’s in just five years. On-campus MBA students must complete the Career Readiness Training (CRT) program.

Online MBA Requirements

The College of Business & Public Affairs offers a 100% online MBA for those that need the ultimate flexibility in schedule and course delivery. It is a web-based learning and teaching platform that incorporates synchronous and asynchronous coursework, giving students some live sessions and recorded lectures to complete on their own time. The 33-45 credits include up to 12 credits of Basic Core courses for those who did not receive an undergraduate business degree. The rest of the credits are filled by 24 credits of Professional Core courses and nine credits of electives.

Courses

The required Professional Core courses are Managerial Economics, Global Issues in Business, Organizational Theory & Behavior, Leadership in Organizations, Accounting Analysis for Management, Financial Management & Policy, Operations Management, Strategic Management, and Management of Marketing Activities. Electives can be filled by the General MBA elective options or by completing a specialization in Logistics or Human Resources Management.

Application Requirements

Having a bachelor’s from a regionally accredited institution, proof of a high promise of success, good undergraduate grades, and a minimum 350 GMAT score or 146 verbal/140 quantitative minimum GRE scores will almost secure a spot for you in the Online MBA program. Along with all of this, applicants must submit an application, application fee, a resume, letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a 200-250 word statement of purpose essay. Those with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or ten years of mid-to upper-level management experience qualify to apply for a GMAT/GRE waiver.
