Business School

The School of Management offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including a Ph.D. It was established in 1970, celebrated its 50th Anniversary, and has been AACSB-accredited since 1991. Students come from all over the state, country, and world to experience an innovative business education that includes rigorous academics, numerous experiential learning opportunities, and personalized career preparation. Programs

Business undergraduates pursue a Bachelor’s in Accounting or a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. The BBA offers concentrations in Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Management Information Systems, Quantitative Finance, Consulting & Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. There are Accelerated 4+1 degree programs with an MBA and MS in Accounting.

Graduate degrees consist of a Master’s in Accounting with an optional concentration in Taxation, MBAs, and a Ph.D. in Management. For MBAs, there is the Four-Semester MBA, One-Year MBA for business majors, One-Year MBA for non-business majors, and Executive MBA.

Online MBA Requirements

The Executive MBA is Binghamton’s affordable online MBA degree program. It is a hybrid format, with in-person classes on Saturdays, once a month in NYC, and the rest of the coursework completed online. Students work through the program with a cohort of other professionals and a dedicated career coach. This Executive MBA can be earned in just 15 months. The curriculum covers an in-depth look into the foundational areas of business to see how an organization functions in every aspect.

Courses

There are seven required courses that take up 21-credit hours, along with four credits of independent study and 16-credit hours of electives. A wide range of elective options allows students to customize their curriculum to meet their interests. Core courses include Accounting, Operations Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Management Information Systems, Finance, and Strategic Management.

Application Requirements

Applicants for the online Executive MBA are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and five years of work experience. Although GMAT, GRE, and GMAC Executive Assessment scores are not required for admission, they are accepted for consideration if you want to submit them. Other submissions include official transcripts, a resume, two professional references, two essays, and an interview.
