Business School

The AACSB-accredited College of Business at ISU aims to provide engaging and life-changing educational opportunities for all of its students. Programs

The flexible Bachelor’s in Business Administration for undergraduates offers majors in General Business, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, Finance, and Health Care Administration. Those who have acquired an Associate’s degree somewhere else can pursue a part-time Bachelor’s in General Business fully online through the Online Degree Completion program.

Graduate students have a Master of Accountancy (MAcc), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), or MBA. There is also a Sales Certificate offered through the CoB’s Walter P. Brown Center for Sales Excellence and a Financial Literacy Certificate for ISU students or anyone in the community. Several degrees have online options, including the BBA in General Business, Finance, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, and Management, an Associate of Science in Business, and the MBA and MHA.

Online MBA Requirements

Online MBA students receive an affordable and quality degree designed for those who received either a business or non-business undergraduate degree. It is self-paced, offering a combination of synchronous and asynchronous courses, which means a mix of interactive evening online classes and recorded coursework accessible at any time. Online students still receive opportunities to complete experiential learning activities. Business degree holders take 30 credits and can be done in two years, while non-business degree holders take 48 credits and complete the degree in three years.

Courses

The 30-credit hour courses include Quantitative Information for Business Decisions, Marketing Management, Managerial Decision Making & Negotiation, Financial Management, Introduction to Business Analytics, Business Policy & Strategy, and the Capstone course in Applied Business Solutions. The three required electives can be traditional MBA electives or completed by selecting an area of emphasis in Economics, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Informatics, or Operations Management. For the non-business majors, the extra 18 credits come from courses in Applied Economics, Marketing, Finance, Financial Reporting & Managerial Accounting, Operations Management, and Human Behavior in Organizations.

Along with the application, you must pay a fee, submit official transcripts, a Statement of Purpose, two letters of recommendation, and a resume. Then, make sure to complete the GMAT or GRE and submit your scores before the deadline.
