Business School

Business students experience distinguished faculty and highly ranked AACSB-accredited degree programs at the Fisher College of Business. It challenges traditional thinking and creates innovative, entrepreneurial, principled, and globally aware leaders. Since its beginning in 1916, Fisher has grown to serve over 8,000 students annually. Many academic offerings include Undergraduate, MBA, Online MBA, Specialized Master’s, Ph.D., and Executive Education programs.

Programs

Undergraduates can customize their Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree program to include a business specialization, minors, or even a major outside of business. Business majors include Business Management, Economics, Human Resources, Insurance, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Real Estate, Marketing, International Business, Information Systems, Finance, Aviation Management, Accounting, or a special area.

Graduates have a Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Working Professional MBA, a Master of Business Operational Excellence, a Master of Accounting, a Master of Human Resource Management, a Specialized Master’s in Finance, and a hybrid Specialized Master’s in Business-Analytics. The two fully online graduate degree options are an Online Working Professional MBA and an Online Specialized Master’s in Business Analytics. Also, doctoral students can pursue a Ph.D. in Business Administration or Accounting & Management Information Systems.

Accolades

Among the many rankings, Fisher came in 7th for U.S. News & World Report 2021 for the best undergraduate program among public universities. For 2022, U.S. News ranked Fisher’s Full-time MBA 14th among public universities and 33rd nationally. The Working Professional MBA ranked #1 in Ohio, #5 among public universities, and #10 nationwide by U.S. News in 2022.

Online MBA Requirements

Fisher offers the option of an entirely online or hybrid Working Professional MBA. This part-time, self-paced degree utilizes personalized electives and weeknight or weekend classes online or on-campus. There are three formats with differing amounts of asynchronous and synchronous coursework portions to fit your interests. The program consists of 48 total credit hours completed in two to three years.

Courses

Core courses include Managerial Economics, Operations, Data Analysis for Managers, Organizational Behavior, Global Environment of Business, Strategy Formulation & Implementation, Marketing, Accounting for Decision Making, Leadership, Finance, and Professional Development. Students choose from any electives but can specialize in Leadership, Marketing, Data Analytics, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Non-profit, Global Business, or a customized specialization.

Application Requirements

Applicants should note that Fisher requires two years of professional work experience. Required submissions include academic transcripts, a resume, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, a video interview, an application fee, and GMAT/GRE scores. There are GMAT/GRE waivers available.
