Since 1909, Southern Arkansas University has grown into a comprehensive regional public university serving around 4,700 students through four distinct colleges and one school. Business School

Programs
Undergraduates can study for an Associate’s in Business Administration or a Bachelor’s in Entrepreneurial Finance, Financial Analysis, General Business Healthcare Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Financial Planning, Information Systems, Management, or Marketing. General Business majors can opt to minor in Agricultural Industries. Online majors include Healthcare Administration and Management.
Graduate students can pursue an MBA on-campus, online, or both. The MBA has emphasis options in Agri-Business, Business Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, and Social Entrepreneurship. Graduate Certificate programs are on-campus and online, as well, and are in Data Analytics, Business Leadership, and Supply Chain Management.
Online MBA Requirements
Online MBA students learn effective communication, effective leadership, social responsibility, critical thinking, and how to utilize information technology for decision making. It is an excellent investment of time and money to prepare for career success. The General MBA requires 30-credit hours, including 24 core credits and six elective credits. Emphasis options will require nine to twelve credit hours totaling 33-36 credits. Students can choose to complete this program entirely online or choose to attend some of the traditional night classes to combine online and on-campus formats.
Courses
Core MBA courses include Business Analytics, Enterprise Resource Planning, Managerial Economics, Strategic Planning & Analysis, Strategic Marketing, Accounting for Decision Making, Managerial Finance, and Human Behavior in Organizations. General MBA students choose two courses out of 26 to fill their elective hours. Examples of a few options include Project Management, RFID Technology Utilization, Issues in Environmental Economics, and Leadership Development.
Examples of courses throughout different MBA emphasis’ include Agriculture Markets & Prices, International Trade of Agriculture Products, Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Leadership Project, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, Social Activism, and Community Development.
Application Requirements
This program is designed for Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree holders. If you do not have a business degree, you can complete a 24-hour prerequisite program to get caught up. For unconditional admittance to the online MBA program, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
