Business School

One of the nation’s oldest, the Whitman School of Management began in 1919 and started its AACSB accreditation in 1920. Through small class sizes, exceptional faculty, collaborative community, and highly individualized attention, Whitman offers a rigorous education to over 4,000 students annually. Its field-focused and multidisciplinary departments provide online and on-campus bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees and executive education programs.

Programs

Undergraduate majors include Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Retail, Accounting, Real Estate, Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, Finance, and Management. Students can pursue two majors, one of eight minors, and the 3+3 program involving a bachelor’s and J.D. degree.

Graduate studies consist of a STEM-designated, Full-time MBA with seven concentrations and master’s degrees in Professional Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Emerging Enterprises, Supply Chain Management, and Marketing. Online graduate degrees are in Business Administration, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain Management. Online MBA Requirements

Whitman’s top-ranked Online MBA covers various topics and current and future business trends. Live, online classes allow for face time with faculty and classmates, and the choice of electives throughout all Syracuse University schools will enable students to customize their education. There are also six optional specializations in Marketing Management, Business Analytics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, and Finance. The 54 credits include 36 core credits, 15 electives/specialization credits, and three in-person, weekend residencies.

Core courses include Global Entrepreneurial Management, Leadership in Organizations, Managerial Finance, Strategic Management, Legal & Ethical Environment of Business, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Data Analysis & Decision Making, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Marketing Management, Microeconomics, and Introduction to I.T. & E-Commerce.

Application Requirements

Applicants that apply before the priority deadline get $30 off the application fee. You must have an accredited bachelor’s degree and at least two years of professional work experience. There is no GMAT requirement, but a score can be submitted for consideration. Required submissions include an online application, a $75 application fee, two personal essays, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a current resume. You may be personally interviewed.
