Business School

TAMUC’s AACSB-accredited College of Business sufficiently prepares students for careers, no matter where their passion lies. Students build personal relationships with world-class faculty and receive essential tools, knowledge, and the confidence to be competitive and successful. Three departments offer nine undergraduate and eight graduate degrees, with five graduate certificate programs.

Programs

Bachelor’s degrees are offered both on-campus and fully online. There are Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Applied Economics. The Bachelor of Business Administration degree offers majors in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, General Business, Management, Finance, Business Analytics, and Accounting.

Graduate degrees are also available on-campus and wholly online. Students choose from a Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Healthcare Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Management, or Marketing. As for Graduate Certificate Programs, the Auditing & Forensic Accounting Graduate Certificate is offered on-campus and online, but the Economics of U.S. Healthcare, Business Analytics, Operational Excellence, and Tax Accounting Graduate Certificates are only online.

Accolades

U.S. News & World Report ranked TAMUC’s College of Business 105 out of 358 in “Best Online MBA Programs,” 51 out of 228 in “Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs,” and 59 out of 206 in “Best Online Master’s (non-MBA) in Business Programs.”

Online MBA Requirements

The Online MBA is a 30-hour program with three additional hours added on for those without a background in statistics. To fill the 30 credits, students complete 21 hours of Managerial Component courses, three hours of Information Analysis Component courses, and six hours of electives. MBA students can choose to complete four courses and earn a minor. TAMUC online MBA students partake in the most significant online MBA program in the state and begin to build an extensive professional network and fully prepare for the global business world.

Courses

Those without a sufficient business background will complete the Quantitative Analysis for Managers course. Core courses are Managerial Economics, Financial Management, Management & Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Applied Business Research, Advanced Managerial Accounting, Business Analytics for Managers, and Marketing Management. Minor areas of concentration include Agribusiness, Corporate Management, Digital Marketing, Economics of U.S. Healthcare, Financial Planning, Real Estate, Marketing Analytics, International Business, Cyber Security, Business Analytics, and Accounting.

Application Requirements

Applications are taken year-round. First, you must create a new graduate school admission application and pay the $50 application fee. Once you receive the application confirmation email, you can proceed to submit the rest of the required documents. Submissions include official transcripts, a personal statement, one letter of recommendation, and a resume or curriculum vitae.
