Business School

Students at the ACBSP-accredited College of Business experience a personalized learning environment that offers flexible learning formats. Each course and program is delivered face-to-face, online, or both. The CoB has enhanced learning opportunities with additional MBA emphases, a new BBA focus, and a new dual degree in keeping up with industry demands. There are three TWU CoB locations: Dallas, Denton, and Houston. Throughout the 11 undergraduate and 13 graduate programs, the core values of critical thinking, teamwork, diversity, professional excellence, analytical ability, and ethics are taught, discussed, and represented.

Programs

The Bachelor’s in Business Administration concentrations include Health Care Administration, Accounting, Business Administration with optional Entrepreneurship Emphasis, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, and Management. Also, there is a 4+1 BBA/MBA in Accounting, a 4+1 BS/MBA in Sport Management, and a Certificate in Leadership program.

Graduate studies consist of an online MBA with eight concentrations and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) offered with a mix of online and face-to-face sessions and two optional concentrations: Global Health and Business Analytics. Also, there is a new dual MBA/MHA degree program.

Online MBA Requirements

With accelerated 7-week online classes, students can complete this 100% Online MBA program in 15 months. A fast track to career advancement. Students sharpen skills and learn effective decision-making, planning, coordination, and business process improvements through small classes and supportive and knowledgeable professors. Depending on whether they need to complete proficiency courses, students must complete 36 to 45 credit hours. MBA emphases are Accounting, General Business, Human Resource Management, Sport Management, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, and Women in Leadership.

Courses

Proficiency courses are Foundations in Business, Financial Accounting, and Foundations of Financial Management. Required core courses include Global Business, Managerial Finance, Decision Analysis for Managers, Managerial Accounting, Business Ethics & Legal Environment, Organizational Behavior in Business Administration, Marketing Management, and the Business Strategy & Policy Capstone Course. Each emphasis requires 12 credits of specific classes, whereas the General MBA allows 12 credits of electives that can also be filled by study abroad and internship opportunities.

Application Requirements

TWU accepts applicants continually. You must have a 3.0 GPA in the previous undergraduate and graduate coursework to be admitted. If you have a 2.5 GPA, then you qualify for provisional admission. There is no GMAT/GRE requirement, but you must be Microsoft Office Suite proficient and submit an application, non-refundable fee, and official transcripts.
