Business School

Programs

Undergraduates choose either a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or International Business. Both types of degrees offer majors in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Marketing, Finance, General, Management, Information Systems, and Retail.

Through the Graduate School of Business within Walton College, graduate students choose between the Walton MBA, Walton Executive MBA, and Master’s in Professional Accounting, Accountancy, Economic Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Applied Business Analytics, Finance, and Supply Chain Management. Ph.D. candidates pursue Accounting, Economics, Finance, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.

Online MBA Requirements

The Walton Executive MBA is a 38-credit hour degree delivered in a hybrid format, primarily online with one in-person Saturday class each month. It is a part-time schedule completed in two years. Students experience a curriculum founded in the value chain to align with the surrounding retail industry. The online MBA program includes overseas projects, entrepreneurship program participation, professional development, and networking opportunities, along with solid, applications-based learning.

Courses

Students will begin with two orientation classes in the first year: Accounting/Statistics Boot Camp and Introduction to Strategy. The six-hour courses in the first year are Marketing, Economics of Management & Strategy, Leadership & Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Methods & Decision Making, Corporate Financial Management, and Financial Statement Analysis for Executives.

The second-year classes are Innovation & Strategic Decision, PLAN: Demand Planning & Inventory Operations, Global Business, Strategic Management, and two focus study area classes. Focus areas include Finance, Retail, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Application Requirements

As an applicant, you must make sure to apply as close to the priority deadline as possible. It is four months before the final deadline, and it is always good to make a positive impression. Currently, in 2022, the Executive MBA students are not required to submit GMAT or GRE scores; it is optional. After completing the online application and $60 application fee, applicants must submit transcripts, a resume, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
