The Walton Executive MBA is a 38-credit hour degree delivered in a hybrid format, primarily online with one in-person Saturday class each month. It is a part-time schedule completed in two years. Students experience a curriculum founded in the value chain to align with the surrounding retail industry. The online MBA program includes overseas projects, entrepreneurship program participation, professional development, and networking opportunities, along with solid, applications-based learning.
Students will begin with two orientation classes in the first year: Accounting/Statistics Boot Camp and Introduction to Strategy. The six-hour courses in the first year are Marketing, Economics of Management & Strategy, Leadership & Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Methods & Decision Making, Corporate Financial Management, and Financial Statement Analysis for Executives.
The second-year classes are Innovation & Strategic Decision, PLAN: Demand Planning & Inventory Operations, Global Business, Strategic Management, and two focus study area classes. Focus areas include Finance, Retail, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
As an applicant, you must make sure to apply as close to the priority deadline as possible. It is four months before the final deadline, and it is always good to make a positive impression. Currently, in 2022, the Executive MBA students are not required to submit GMAT or GRE scores; it is optional. After completing the online application and $60 application fee, applicants must submit transcripts, a resume, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
