Business School

Along with expert faculty and excellent academic programs, the ACBSP-accredited College of Business emphasizes experiential education. It connects its students with hands-on learning with community entrepreneurs, partners, small business owners, and nonprofit organizations. Business students have access to the BRITE (Business Resource for Innovation, Teamwork & Entrepreneurship) Center. They can participate in events, programs, competitions and hear from speakers and mentors assisting in entrepreneurial endeavors.

Programs

There is a two-year Associate’s in Business Administration and a four-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration for undergraduate students. The BSBA offers areas of emphasis in Human Resource Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Management, Sports Business Strategy, Economics, International Business, Operations & Logistics, and Business Analytics. There is also an online Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program, and graduate students can earn an MBA either on campus, online, or both.

There are 14 business minors to choose from, including Business Administration, Economics, International Business, Operations & Logistics, Marketing, Sport & Event Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business Information Assurance Management.

Online MBA Requirements

In just 11 courses, Online MBA students gain an application-based, comprehensive business management education, leadership skills, and a global perspective. This 33-semester hour program links theory with practice and can be completed in one to two years. Students can customize their path with a group of courses in a specialized concentration or various electives and even pursue a second concentration with just a couple of additional classes. Those that desire some in-person courses can choose the hybrid format; otherwise, it’s entirely online.

Courses

Standard courses include Finance Management, Marketing Management & Planning, Research for Decision Making, Operations Management & Systems Analysis, Accounting for Managers, and Leadership & Organizational Behavior. There is also Management of Human Resources, Decision-Making in Financial Management, Ethics & Legal Environment, Management of Information & Technology, and Business Strategy & Implementation.

Specialized concentration options are Business Administration, Certified Management Accounting, Healthcare Management, and Certified Public Accounting. Optional second concentrations include Marketing, Finance, International Business, Human Resource Management, or Operations Management. Examples of optional electives are Special Topics in Marketing, Athletic Administration Financial Analysis & Reporting, Public Budgeting & Financial Analysis, and Intergovernmental Relationships & Community Affairs.

Application Requirements

Non-business degree holders must complete some prerequisite courses involving finance, accounting, and economics, offered by Findlay. Another admission requirement is an accredited bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0. Ensure to complete and submit the application form and all official transcripts of college-level work completed.
