Online MBA Requirements
Besides ULM’s accredited face-to-face, on-campus MBA program, ULM offers an accredited 100% online distance MBA Program (dMBA) designed for active graduate students who work and do not have the chance to commute easily to the university’s campus. All dMBA students go through coursework that give them a solid foundation in what leaders need in today’s business world. Core coursework includes Economic Environment, Multinational Leadership and Management, Marketing Strategy, and Accounting Analysis for Decision Making.
Beyond the core coursework, students have six credit hours to expire business electives. As an alternative, students could choose to pursue nine hours of an elective. What is unique about ULM’s offering is that there are multiple concentrations outside the area of business that students can pursue. Non-business options include Criminal Justice, Health Communication, Psychology, Pharm D, and Educational Leadership. These options really open the door for all leaders to pursue an applicable MBA at ULM.
Admission requirements mirror the face-to-face MBA program. Online MBA applicants seeking regular admission status must meet one of the following minimum requirements to be admitted: any professional or graduate degree from a regionally accredited university or a cumulative bachelor’s GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited college or university. Qualified business school applicants may also present a GPA of 3.0 in the last sixty-plus hours of undergraduate or graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university. Students can enter the program at the beginning of fall, spring, or summer terms.
