Online MBA Requirements

This online MBA takes two years to complete with weekly online courses and three on-campus residency weekend experiences, which allow students to network with each other and program leaders. Qualifications for this degree include an undergraduate degree and eighteen or more months of professional experience. The average class size of this online MBA is thirty-seven students.

Each term, graduate students take two three-credit courses and a single-credit course. All three-credit courses emphasize management and leadership in economics, finance, and operations. One-credit courses deal with contemporary business issues like creativity, innovation, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship.

The Online MBA program features participation in a video conference one night each week to collaborate with students in the program. The three on-campus residency weekends are at the beginning of year one with orientation, professional development, and leadership, the onset of year two with corporate social responsibility, and the end of year two with “Hackathon” and graduation.

Application Requirements

A completed VCU online application consists of a non-refundable application fee, transcripts from each university or college attended, a statement of intent, a current resume, and three letters of recommendation.
