The business school at West Chester maintains a faculty of over 150 while offering twelve undergraduate degrees, sixteen undergraduate minors, and seven master’s programs organized into seven departments. Along with the main West Chester campus, the business school offers courses and support programs at Delaware County Community College and the West Chester University Center City in Philadelphia.
Online MBA Requirements
The entire online MBA degree is delivered in a 100% online format. Enrolled students can take one course at a time, part-time, and complete all program requirements in less than two years. Most distance learners complete their entire program online in less than a year as full-time students and never need to visit the campus.
All online courses are asynchronous, so there are weekly deadlines and exam windows but no other set times that students need to log into the course. Online MBA students can complete their classwork on their weekly schedule – around their work and family commitments.
West Chester University’s online MBA is a 30-credit, ten-course program. All courses are required. All MBA requirements must be completed within three years. All graduate students complete a comprehensive exam during the final semester. Degrees are granted only when the MBA student’s comprehensive exam score meets the standard set by the Graduate Curriculum Management Committee.
Application Requirements
A completed application to the online MBA program includes all official undergraduate transcripts, GMAT scores (unless the Graduate Director grants a waiver), and a professional essay that addresses the candidate’s career plans. Applicants should also provide their academic and professional background in Statistics, Accounting, Economics, Management, Finance, and Marketing. A current resume and three letters of recommendation are also part of a completed application.
