Programs

Undergraduate students can major in Business Economics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Management, International Business, or Marketing.

Graduate studies consist of a traditional residential MBA, a Professional Online MBA, and a Master of Professional Accountancy. The MPAcc is a 4+1, where students earn both the bachelor’s and master’s in Accounting in five years. The MBA offers specializations in Accounting, Human Resources, International Business, and General Administration.

Online MBA Requirements

Depending upon full-time or part-time status, business students can complete this 30-credit hour, 100% online MBA in one to one and a half years. Online students can take all MBA courses online or mix it up by attending some classes in person, providing the ultimate flexibility. Those without the proper business educational background must complete a few prerequisite courses. Online MBA students gain a broad understanding of business competencies and practical experience through hands-on learning, case methods, and simulations.

Courses

The seven core courses include Management Control Systems, Leadership & Behavioral Management, Financial Strategy, Strategic Management, Quantitative Business Analysis, Business, Government & Society, and Marketing Strategy.

The online MBA offers the same specializations as the traditional MBA: General Administration, Accounting, International Business, and Human Resources. Some examples of courses within each specialization are Consumer Analytics, Personnel Development in Business & Industry, Quality: Financial Statement Analysis, Topics in International Business, and Quality: Management & Control.

Application Requirements

There are several different Admission Tracks students can pursue. The options are Traditional, Advanced Degree, Work Experience, and Recent PSU Graduate. A couple of them require an essay and two letters of recommendation. To apply for the online MBA, the critical thing to know is that you must have an accredited bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree, A 2.7 GPA or higher, and three years of management experience. Required submissions include a current resume and official transcripts. There is no GMAT requirement.
