As a Historically Black College or University established in 1912, Tennessee State University has a rich history of excellence. Located in Nashville, this comprehensive, coeducational, land-grant, “high research” institution is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Business School

Programs
Undergraduate studies consist of a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with majors in Business Administration, Economics & Finance, Accounting, and Business Information Systems. The Business Administration major offers concentrations in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Management, Supply Chain Management, General Business, Human Resources, and Marketing. Business minors are Entrepreneurship, General Business, International Business, and Marketing.
Graduate studies involve an MBA with evening classes, an Accelerated Online MBA, and the TSU Executive MBA, which is a hybrid degree combining weekend classes and online course offerings. Executive MBA students can participate in a 10-day Global Residency course outside of the U.S.
Online MBA Requirements
There are two options for online MBAs at TSU. They are both fast-track, accelerated, cohort-style graduate programs requiring 36 credits completed in just one year, each course lasting four weeks. The Accelerated Online MBA is a fully online, progressive, general MBA program combining convenience, quality, and affordability. Whereas the Executive MBA is a hybrid program, offering a mix of online and in-person weekend courses.

Required courses for the Accelerated Online MBA are Management & Evaluation of Information Systems, Managerial Accounting, Statistical Decision Making, Managerial Finance, Operations Management, Managerial Economics, Marketing Management, Business Strategy & Economic Environment, Project Management, Logistics, Behavior in Organizations, and Investment.
The Executive MBA courses include Statistical Methods, Managerial Economics, Legal Issues in Management, Marketing Management, Managing Global Challenges, Business Strategy & the Economic Environment, Supply Chain Management, Behavior in Organizations, Operations Management, Managerial Finance, Accounting & Business Decisions, and Management & Evaluation of Information Systems.
Application Requirements
Accelerated Online MBA and Executive MBA applicants must complete the Graduate School Application and then utilize the BusinessCas website to apply for admission to the College of Business. Admission requirements include either 950 or 1,000 points based on a formula that involves your undergraduate GPA and GMAT score multiplied by 200. Executive MBA applicants must be experienced business professionals. Along with the applications, applicants are required to submit a fee, official GMAT scores, a resume, official transcripts, a statement of purpose, health forms, and certificates of immunizations.
