Texas A&M International University is located in Laredo, Texas, and is accredited by the SACSCOC. It offers academic programs with an international agenda, affordability, accessibility, and welcomes and develops achievers, leaders, givers, explorers, and innovators. Although it was established in 1970, in 1989, it became part of the Texas A&M University System. Now, the university has five colleges that administer excellent undergraduate and graduate degrees, graduate certificate programs, and numerous online programs, like an online MBA.
Business School
At the AACSB-accredited A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, students receive educational excellence through on-campus and online undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees with a multicultural and international perspective. Students become resourceful, independent, and ready to succeed in the global business environment through expert faculty, dynamic classroom experiences, hands-on learning, relevant field experiences, and paid internships. Programs
Undergraduates can choose from a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) or a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences in Business (BAAS). The BBA has two majors: Accounting and Management Information Systems & Data Analytics. Other options for BBA students are to choose a concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, International Economics, Management, or Transportation & International Logistics. As for the BAAS, students can choose concentrations in Management, Business Administration, or Transportation & International Logistics.
Graduate programs are available on-campus and online. There is an MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy, Master’s in Information Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in International Business Administration. The MBA offers seven concentrations.

Online MBA Requirements
In just 15 months, online MBA students can earn an accelerated Online MBA. This degree comprises ten courses that include 21 hours of core and nine hours of electives to equal 30 credits. Experienced practitioners take students through a rigorous curriculum with international flair; each course is seven weeks. There are six online MBAs in Management, International Banking & Finance, International Business, International Trade & Logistics, Criminal Justice, and Healthcare Administration.
Courses
Those with little or no business background must complete Prep-Modules in Concepts in Accounting & Information Systems, Finance & Economics, and Management & Marketing. Core courses are Strategic Management, Managerial Economics, Seminar in Management Concepts, Business Research Methods, Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Management, and Seminar in Marketing Management.
Examples of elective courses in the different MBAs include Leadership and Decision Making, Entrepreneurship, International Investments, International logistics, Cybercrime, Transformational Leadership, and Healthcare Informatics.
Application Requirements
There is a GMAT waiver for qualified applicants. Those with an accredited bachelor’s degree and 3.0 GPA or higher qualify for automatic admission. They must submit three references, official transcripts, and a professional resume. If you have an international degree or are an international student, you must submit an acceptable TOEFL/IELTS. If you don’t qualify for automatic admission, you must submit GMAT/GRE scores, two reference letters, and a personal statement.
